Abstract
In the present work, the kinetics of the transport of selected rare earth ions at the liquid-liquid interface in the presence of an externalmagnetic field gradient wereinvestigated. A heterogeneous magnetic field was applied to the classic liquid-liquid solvent extraction system. The influence of temperature, the initial concentration of selected ions,and the magnetic field gradient on the extraction ratewas determined. It was shown that the heterogeneous magnetic field can affect the kinetics of extraction of rare earth ions,at the liquid-liquid interface system. The observed differences constitute a promising prospect worthy of further research.
