Abstract
Retaining walls are structures which improve safety of life and property. Their role is to keep a stable state of soil surcharge. Because they are important building structures, they require the control of their condition. Modern measurement techniques such as terrestrial laser scanning allow to improve the efficiency of determining the displacement and deformation of these structures. However, they require the verification of the assumed accuracy by comparing the obtained results with the results of conventional measurements. This paper presents a preliminary analysis of the retaining wall measurements carried out using the above mentioned techniques. In the future, the measurements will be repeated and related to those presented in the article. The conducted works are aimed at improving the efficiency of retaining wall measurements and developing their methodology which allows to obtain important data to estimate the condition of a structure.
