Abstract
In this work, the PLD technique was used to grow AlMg thin films from a B- Mg2Al3 target with nominal composition 39.09 wt. % Mg and 60.91 wt. % Al. In the paper the study of B-Mg2Al3 thin films deposited using the pulsed laser deposition are carried out. The AlMg thin films were prepared on Si (100) substrates and deposited by using a QS-Nd:YAG laser (^ = 355 nm). The samples were performed with laser beam energy density (1,87 J/cm2) and with four different substrate (Si) temperatures: 100°C, 150°C, 200°C and 300°C. As results of influence of the laser irradiation, the target possessed higher roughness and took place the changes of the chemical composition. The variations of structure and chemical composition of the deposited thin films are also discussed. Structure and chemical composition investigations showed that the films possess the droplets, nanocrystalline structure and in some cases with porosity. Whereas the quantity of Al and Mg varied in the films, while different substrate temperature was applied.
Streszczenie
W artykule przedstawiono strukturę oraz skład chemiczny cienkich warstw Al-Mg osadzanych techniką ablacji laserowej. Jako materiał wyjściowy (tarcza) wykorzystano stop ß-Mg2Al3 o składzie chemicznym: 39,09% at. Mg i 60,91% at. Al. Natomiast zmiana temperatury podłoża prowadziła do zmian zawartości Al i Mg w warstwach, w porównaniu z materiałem wyjściowym.
