Abstract
The contribution of phase transformations into the texture development was analysed in a ferrite-austenite duplex type steel subjected to cold-rolling and annealing. Deformation and annealing textures were examined from the viewpoint of crystallographic relations between the texture components of both phases, i.e. bcc alpha -phase and fee gamma -phase, The experimental orientation distribution functions (ODF's) of the component phases after rolling and annealing were compared with those for one-phase steels. Transformations of the experimental ODF's and single orientations were performed to determine the crystallographic relations between the main orientations.
