Abstract
The paper describes in a synthetic form the development of non-ferrous metals processing industry over the last half-century. Personal thoughts of the author on non-ferrous metals processing with an account of the development of non-ferrous metals processing industry in Poland are presented. The occasion for retrospective outlook on the issues related to non-ferrous metals processing is the 50th anniversary of the periodical "Rudy i Metale Nieżelazne" (Non-Ferrous Ores and Metals), which publishes many papers in this field thus disseminating the related knowledge within the engineering staff.
Streszczenie
W artykule zaprezentowano w formie syntetycznej rozwój przetwórstwa metali nieżelaznych na przestrzeni ostatniego półwiecza. Jest to refleksja osobista autora na temat przetwórstwa metali nieżelaznych z uwzględnieniem rozwoju przemysłu przetwórczego metali nieżelaznych w Polsce. Okazją do retrospektywnego spojrzenia na przetwórstwo metali nieżelaznych jest 50-lecie działalności czasopisma Rudy i Metale Nieżelazne, które na swych łamach prezentuje między innymi prace z zakresu przetwórstwa metali nieżelaznych, przyczyniając się tym samym do propagowania wśród kadry inżynierskiej zagadnień z tego obszaru.
