Abstract
In this work, a COMSOL-based emission model of a Carbon Nanotube yarn cathode is refined using dedicated experimental measurements in diode and triode configuration. The revised parameter combinations allow for voltage and thus efficiency prediction. At the same time, discrepancies in IV-curve shape and transmissivity remain, indicating that further refinement of the emission model is still required.
