Abstract
This paper presents a review of the literature on the use of Interactive Whiteboards (IWBs) in education, with a particular focus on technical education at the tertiary level. The purpose of the paper was, based on the research literature, to examine the impact of interactive whiteboards on student engagement, teaching effectiveness, and student and faculty attitudes toward the technology. The analysis also covers the technical and organizational challenges of implementing IWBs, as well as their use in specialized and interdisciplinary contexts. The results of the review indicate that interactive whiteboards can significantly support the teaching process, especially in terms of visualizing difficult content, increasing student motivation, and supporting active and differentiated learning. At the same time, effective use of these tools requires adequate teacher preparation, availability of teaching resources, and institutional support.
