Abstract
The integration of VR technology and spatial audio offers significant advantages for psychoacoustic research, allowing for precise control over experimental conditions and enhancing the immersion of participants in virtual environments. The developed system demonstrates the potential for conducting sound source localization tests with high accuracy and flexibility. Future research could explore additional applications of VR in psychoacoustics, such as eye tracking with advanced augmented reality setups, and further investigate the performance of different binaural renderers for virtual sound localization. The study underscores the importance of interactive interfaces, particularly VR, in advancing research in auditory perception.
