Abstract
This article focuses on factors limiting the development possibilities of Poland's photovoltaic and wind power plants. Technical, environmental and legal conditions were found and indicated as a result of research based on legal acts and literature on location possibilities of renewable energy installations under discussion. Also, formulas that can show limiting factors in absolute value are proposed. These formulas consider all limiting factors and allow for comparison between different regions of Poland concerning location impossibilities.
