Abstract
This article presents the synthesis of a sliding control for a semi-active vibration reduction system. The subject of the research is synthesizing a sliding regulator for a suspension strut of a vehicle. In this case, the active element is the controlled damper. The authors determined the characteristics of vibration transmission, allowing for the evaluation of the quality of the vibration reduction system depending on the choice of the sliding surface. Sliding control methods are robust. For this reason, the impact of the uncertainty of the parameters of the suspension model and the semi-active element on the control quality was limited. The road roughness (irregularities) included in the object model and the disturbances changes authors consider as the model parameter uncertainty. Overall, a semi-active suspension system and a sliding mode controller can provide improved ride comfort, handling, and stability for a vehicle compared to the passive suspension system.
