Abstract

The experiment of growing tomatoes, eggplant, and zucchini was realized in our institution's geothermal laboratory in Bańska Niżna, Poland. Due to geothermal water's chemical composition and salinity, the UF/RO technology is used to desalinate geothermal water from the Podhale Geothermal System wells. The plants were cultivated in a soil system using a mix of 30% of tap water and 70% treated geothermal water with nutrients. The physical parameters for growing plants, such as pH, room temperature, relative humidity, soil temperature, and soil humidity, were measured continuously four times a day. This study will present the result of those measured parameters and their influence on the plants. Moreover, the quality analysis of irrigation water used in this experiment will be presented.
