Abstract
The paper presents the approach to payload designing, based on the AGH Space Systems team’s experience. Basic factors which should be included in the early stage of the work, such as rocket dependency, proper variables identification and control, design uniformization, and decision on recovery method, are discussed. Mechanical, electrical, and recovery subsystems design rationale is presented. The last part is dedicated to the payload’s testing procedure where necessary types and steps of properly conducted tests, ensuring mission safety and success, are presented.
