Abstract
A five-port reflectometer capable of wideband operation is proposed in this paper. It is composed of three transmission lines with probes and appropriate phase shifters connected to 3-way power dividers. Due to such a topology optimum measurement conditions and power efficiency enhancement with respect to other multiprobe reflectometers can be obtained. The proposed five-port reflectometer has been designed to operate over a wide frequency range 1 – 3 GHz, manufactured and verified experimentally through reflection coefficient measurements. The obtained results show very good agreement with values measured using commercial vector network analyzer.
