Abstract
The climate changes often lead to the increase of eutrophication and organic pollution. Regardless the views on the causes of these changes and the possibility to limit them, the mitigation of adverse effects is necessary. One of the ways to do so is the process of microbiological revitalization of lakes. The authors present the result of the revitalization measures of the dam reservoir in Głuchów (the commune of Grójec, Poland) on the river Jeziorka. The use of biopreparations was successful and the water quality improved. The organic fraction of bottom sediments was reduced. The revitalization measures were carried out thrice by the company ACS Poland in 2017–2019. The analyses of the effects of treatment indicate positive changes in the water quality as a result of the carried out processes. The water quality monitoring in 2020 confirms that the effects of the revitalization process were preserved in the following season after the application. In all the measurement points the transparency was high; the bottom of the reservoir was seen. Further reduction of bottom sediments (organic fractions) was observed, compared to previous years. No exceeded values of organic pollutants or nutrients were detected in water. In 2020 no additional measures of adding biopreparations were carried out, thus the obtained results indicate the durability of the effects from previous years.
