Abstract
According to the Regulation of the Minister of Health of 13 April 2006 the curative character of water give them specific components, e.g. fluorides. Water containing fluorides in concentration at least 2 mg/L can be qualified as a fluoride curative water. This paper presents a spectrophotometry method validation for the determination of fluorides in the mineral and curative waters using a HACH Lange DR2800 spectrophotometer. The analyses were carried out using samples of thermaland curative waterwith a high Total Dissolved Solids amount. The obtained parameters of the method being verified (linearity, precision, accuracy, uncertainty) correspond with the literature data and are satisfactory. This means that chosen method fitsfor the purpose of analysis of suchtype of water.
