Abstract
The article presents the results of the analyses, aimed to assess the intensity of damage to portal frame structures located in a mining area. The study used statistical methods of data mining, including the method of partial least squares regression approach – PLSR, as well as the correlation analysis. The research used the database of the structure, condition and potential causes of damage to 94 building structures, including production halls, commercial halls, office facilities or warehouses. The first stage involved the assessment of the intensity of damage to the studied buildings, in the form of linear combination of the indices describing the damage to their components, as well as structural and finishing elements. Then, the relationship between the intensity of damage to the buildings, and the impact of mining was analyzed. © SGEM2016.
