Abstract
In this paper, a miniaturized wideband Marchand balun with separated differential output designed with the use of quasi-lumped element technique has been proposed. The circuit utilizes multi-compensation technique together with folded coupled inductors to obtain high performance and reduced size by appropriate folding of the coupled lines, which partially realize the required compensating elements. The proposed circuit has been theoretically and experimentally verified. The measurement results show a good agreement with both circuit and electromagnetic analysis and prove the correctness and usefulness of the presented method. © 2016 IEEE.
