Abstract
Two Polish bituminous coals and products of their com. beneficiation by flotation and sedimentation were studied for ash, Pb, Zn, Cu, Cr, Mn and Ni contents by flame absorption spectrometry after microwave digestion in concd. HNO3 and HF acids. The beneficiation resulted in accumulation of the metals in the mineral residues. The cleaning process in heavy liqs. was the most efficient method for removing the metals from coal.
