Abstract
Fine La0.6Sr0.4CoO3, ceramic powder was produced by the sol-gel route using EDTA and applied in the screen-printing technology to obtain thick films of the given composition on Fe-25Cr steel substrates. The La0.6Sr0.4CoO3 coated steel was oxidized in air at 1073 K up to 150 h. The SEM-EDS and TEM-SAD investigations of the steel/(La,Sr)CoO3 film cross-sections after oxidation and measurement of the electrical resistance of the oxide coating during oxidation were performed thus demonstrating the possibility of application of this composite material as interconnector for SOFC.
