Abstract
A system in question for pickling and cold rolling of sheet is part of a complex production system for cold - rolled sheet (including, among others, pickling, rolling, straightening, cutting, galvanizing line and packing). The system consists of production facilities (continuous pickling aggregate, four-high rolling mill), transport facilities (cranes, feeders, carriages), inter - operational storage yard, and also sheet coils flowing through individual facilities. A logistic approach to the system requires, among other things, that the times of materials passage through facilities are minimized, as well as inter - operational storage yards. It is the aim of research to select parameters of transport facilities and analyse the effect of transport cycle duration for a system in question on the flow of sheet coils through the system (including also the effect on storing time before rolling).
