Abstract
Development of the stress and strain fields in the continuously casted stand has been analyzed. Mechanical stresses resulting from bending and unbending of the strand has been taken into account. The stress model is completed with the thermal stresses resulting from non uniform temperature distribution in the strand. The solution has been obtained by the finite element method in the three dimensional domain. The results of calculation have shown essential influence of the arc of casting machine on the stress field. The maximum value of the mean stress has increased from 250 MPa to 400 MPa if the arc of casting machine has been change from 10.5 m to 6 m.
Streszczenie
W pracy przedstawiono trójwymiarowy model naprężeń i odkształceń powstających we wlewku odlewanym w sposób ciągły. Rozwiązanie uzyskano metodą elementów skończonych. Testy modelu przeprowadzono dla dwóch różnych wartości promienia łuku urządzenia COS. Testy wykazały istotny wpływ tego parametru na wartość naprężeń powstających we wlewku ciągłym.
