Abstract
The paper concerns prediction of tremors risk, on the basis of rock mass cracking process analysis. As these processes cannot be directly observed, they are random phenomena of high dispersion. They can be examined by analysis of recorded seismoacoustic emission. In the mining practice it is the cause of low effectiveness of risk assessment. Examination of development tendencies of magnitudes of cracking process effects may contribute to much more effective assessments. The analysis is performed in a stochastic space, by bringing in the notion of the so called "phenomenon scale" of the stream of events parameter. This parameter is estimated on the basis of extent of effects and time intervals between seismoacoustic emission effects. It constitutes the measure and the basis for development of tremor risk criteria.
