Abstract
Issues in valuation of mineral deposits considered to be included in land property (natural mineral deposits, waste mineral resources, anthropogenic mineral deposits) arc presented. Legal provisions regulating valuation process as well as valuation methods are discussed. Examples and foreign solutions are given. A need for a valuator to possess adequate knowledge in geology and mining is underlined. Differences in mineral deposits' valuation, which are exploited using both the underground and borehole method according to the law as well as valuation of the deposits being ail accessory of the real estates (exploited using the open cast method), are paid attention. Consequently a necessity of creating regulated profession of mineral deposits' valuator is demonstrated. Legal adjustments, referred to mineral deposits property which results in the division of the deposits both located out of area of the land real estate and deposits which are a part of land real estate, are given examples and commentate. There are indicated preparations of establishing the activity of Polish Association of Mineral Deposits Valuation.
