Abstract
Quality Assurance (QA) technique is designed to reduce X-ray doses to patients undergoing radiological examination. The results of QA control in sixteen hospitals of Malopolska District for routinely used X-ray equipment (20) are presented. All tests were carried out with units produced by PTW Freiburg such as: REX phantom and CONNY II dosimeter first part and X-Check RAD phantom, STAR phantom, Diados E dosimeter, Diavolt Universal and SensoDensi X. The results obtained indicate a need for systematic Quality Control to assure optimization of the patients' exposure.
