Abstract
The time-dependence of populations of muonic hydrogen states in hydrogen-helium mixtures, q(n)(He), is calculated for the principal quantum number, n, the target density, phi, and the helium concentration, C-He. The number of muons transferred to the helium nuclei, N-n(tr), is also determined The dependence of the population of the ground state of muonic hydrogen, q(ls)(He), on target density and helium concentration is in agreement with recent experimental data. The comparison of the calculated yield of K lines of x-ray in pure hydrogen and deuterium with experimental data indicates nn essential role ol: Coulomb deexcitation processes.
