Abstract
The tube drawing process has been in a common use for many years. Especially useful is the method of drawing with the floating-plug because it allows the manufacturing of very long tubes. For thin-walled small-sized tubes the drum-drawing process is very popular. The additional advantage of this process is the possibility of using a very high velocity of drawing and the ability to achieve a very high productivity. This paper describes a new tool design which allows greater wall-thickness reductions and increases process stability.
