Abstract
Presented are origins, recovery, and storage of coke dust, a by-product resulting from dry-quenching of coke in coke plants. In particular, data on proximate analysis, sieve size distribution, and selected structural parameters of coke dust are discussed. The coke dust is mainly utilized as a "diluent" in coking coal blends used to manufacture metallurgical and foundry ; quality cokes. In this regard, our results point out to its potential application as an affordable dust adsorbent in industrial waste treatment processes.
