Abstract
Er3+-doped(80-x)TeO2-5P(2)O(5)-10Nb(2)O(5)-5ZnO-xLiF glasses were studied for their thermal, optical, and luminescence properties. Increasing LiF lowers Tg and Td while raising thermal expansion, indicating network depolymerization; Er3+ slightly reinforces the network. All glasses show refractive indices >2.0. Absorption, emission, Judd-Ofelt parameters, and lifetimes indicate high emission efficiency (98%) of the I-13/2 -> I-4(15/2) transition. These results highlight their potential for optoelectronic and telecommunication applications.
