Abstract
This paper presents an analysis of the single-point incremental forming (SPIF) process applied to 6061 aluminum alloy sheets in the context of automated manufacturing systems. The study focuses on the identification of key process parameters that significantly influence the quality and geometry of the final product. Based on literature analysis and preliminary trials, a technological window for stable forming was established. A dedicated forming fixture was designed and implemented to produce a hemispherical component in a single operation. The results confirmed that appropriate selection of kinematic parameters enables successful forming without premature failure. The formed component was evaluated using 3D optical scanning and structural analysis, including thickness distribution, microstructure, microhardness, and surface roughness. The findings demonstrate the feasibility of integrating the SPIF process into automated manufacturing and assembly systems, with potential for reducing process complexity and production lead time.
