Abstract
Aggregates are a fundamental construction product, a raw material without which no construction project can be implemented. The minerals used to produce them are a non-renewable resource, meaning the existing resource base must last for many years to come. Therefore, diversifying the material base for aggregate production is particularly important. The use of recycled aggregates, although they carry many limitations, is becoming increasingly common in European Union countries. In Poland, this is not yet a widespread phenomenon, especially considering the legal issues related to waste management. Despite numerous challenges, producers are increasingly choosing to include aggregates from demolition and the removal of previously existing infrastructure in their offerings. This paper examines waste from group 17 (waste from the construction, renovation, and dismantling of buildings) as a potential alternative source for aggregate production.
Streszczenie
Kruszywa z recyklingu – z budowy, remontów i demontażu obiektów budowlanych oraz infrastruktury drogowej, mimo stosunkowo ograniczonego potencjału ilościowego, mogą stanowić ważne uzupełnienie bazy zasobowej do produkcji kruszyw, wspierać zrównoważone budownictwo i w przyszłości zwiększać bezpieczeństwo surowcowe kraju. W artykule podjęto próbę odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy mogą one stanowić istotny element łańcucha dostaw surowców na rynek kruszywowy.
