Abstract
The following paper aimed to investigate the application of zeolite from fly ash as a catalyst for the selective catalytic reduction of NOx with NH3 (NH3-SCR). The zeolite was synthesized via an alkaline fusion method followed by hydrothermal treatment. Two methods for introducing the active phase (5 wt.% Cu) into the structure were used. Copper species, present in the catalysts, were identified by means of DR-UV- Vis spectroscopy. The NH3-SCR test was conducted over the copper exchanged LTA (Cu-LTA) zeolite catalyst. The obtained results indicated a direct influence of the calcination temperature on catalyst performance.
