Abstract
We will present the results of our research on niobium-doped titania dioxide layers fabricated using a sol-gel method and dip-coating technique. Niobium-doped and undoped titania layers were deposited on silicon wafers and soda-lime glass substrates. The niobium-doped and undoped titanium dioxide layers exhibit a high refractive indices of~ 2.1 and thicknesses exceeding 110 nm. The presentation will discuss technological procedures, measurement methods used and research results on the effect of niobium doping of titanium dioxide layers on their optical properties, in particular on thermo-optical properties.
