Abstract
A swarm, a herd, or a school is a phenomenon observed in nature that has inspired researchers of these formations-creations that naturally demonstrate cooperation and self-organisation but also specific adaptability to the changing environment. Mathematical models of swarms try to describe them in various ways, often inspired by biology and the fact that a swarm is a collection of a number of individuals who communicate and cooperate to achieve a common goal. However, this purpose is often not visible, as is the case with swarms of birds in autumn. The collective behaviour of a swarm is based on fundamental principles such as local interaction, dynamic adaptation and self-organisation. The article presents an approach to swarm modelling. The swarm is modelled not as a modelling object but as the result of built-in mechanisms operating in a single individual agent. The article presents a mathematical model of an agent; many agents create a swarm. The mechanisms built into a single agent are described, and the simulation results are presented.
