Abstract
This paper delves into the present landscape of heavy machinery monitoring systems in South America, with a particular emphasis on Peru. Through a comparative analysis of Peru and other mineral-rich countries in the region, the study unveils both the technological advancements and unique challenges faced by Peru. Beginning with a macro-analysis encompassing various heavy machinery monitoring systems throughout South America, the research further conducts a micro-analysis specifically tailored to the Peruvian context. The objective is to furnish a comprehensive examination of heavy machinery monitoring practices in South America. Detailed insights and current challenges are outlined in each segment, providing a nuanced understanding of the heavy machinery monitoring landscape within Peru's mining sector. Additionally, a dedicated discussion chapter on sustainability has been incorporated to address pertinent environmental concerns.
