Abstract
The presented work discloses a new method of heat dissipation, with use of a composite material vessel. The conceived vessel is manufactured from clay and copper powder, which has adsorption and better thermal conductivity characteristics. The composite vessel contains water inside the cavity and has a thermally insulating layer at the bottom. The water has direct contact with the vessel walls and gets adsorbed inside the vessel. The heat from the source is directed to the vessel material and is used to evaporate the water adsorbed inside the vessel, leading to desorption of the water contained inside the vessel. Continuous cycles of adsorption and desorption ensure that the heat from the vessel is utilized to provide latent heat of vaporization to the water. Experiments are conducted with different test cases to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method of heat dissipation over that of the conventional method of free and forced convection.
