Abstract
The main purpose of this article is to describe the essential and functional relationships of silence, hope, life, freedom and creativity. The subject of the analysis is the life experience of Zofia Posmysz. In the first part, the concept of dialogic silence is presented. Silence is understood here as an act of interpersonal communication. The second part describes the phenomenon of hope. The main point of reference here is the work of Antoni Kępiński. The following sections reveal the essential and functional relationship between silence, hope, life, freedom and creativity based on Zofia Posmysz’s statements. I conclude that silence creates hope when its content is the world of values.
