Abstract
This paper presents an overview of recently developed two-wire transmission line-based microwave sensors for broadband dielectric spectroscopy of liquid materials. Demonstrators for all the discussed sensors were manufactured and experimentally validated for material characterization or content analysis over a wide frequency range. The obtained measurement results prove the potential of two-wire transmission line sensors as low-cost and high-sensitivity core components of laboratory and field-grade sensing and analysis instrumentation for various biomedical and industrial applications.
