Abstract
We consider a nonlinear elliptic Dirichlet equation driven by a double phase operator and a Carathéodory (p- 1) -linear reaction. First, we conduct a detailed spectral analysis of the double phase operator. Next, we use the results of this analysis to prove existence and multiplicity properties for problems in which there is resonance asymptotically as x→ ± ∞.
