Abstract
In this brief chapter, we would like to take the reader on a meandering journey through the fields of information, energy, communication, and music, as well as the places where these domains intersect and percolate, even in such distant fields as religion and politics. As it turns out, contemporary and seemingly abstract concepts related to information processing can be conveyed in an accessible form through music. To spice things up, the potpourri of ideas presented in this chapter is seasoned with pictures and descriptions of postage stamps and various unexpected and serendipitous associations, involving information processing, history, music, and philately.
