Abstract
Lactic acid bacteria are perfect biocatalysts for the metabolization of various raw materials. Glycerol, as one of the by-products, the ideas of which are further explored, is a carbon source and can be transformed by microorganisms into products that are more useful. The cultivation of microorganisms is favored by appropriate parameters, which include temperature, pH, nutrient solution and oxygen content [1]. This article focuses on the results obtained after cultivation of Lactobacillus plantarum on media with different concentrations of glycerol and on the influence of the temperature on growth of tested bacteria.
