Abstract
A series of samples containing the phosphate and tellurite glass formers were prepared by varying the barium fluoride concentration from 0 to 30 mol %. The results of the XRD analysis indicated that barium fluoride in the 5–30 mol% content improved the glass-forming nature of oxyfluoride phosho-tellurite glasses in the TeO2–P2O5–BaF2–ZnF2–Na2O–ErF3 system. For 0 mol% of BaF2 amount, the glass-ceramic sample was obtained with ErPO4 (erbium phosphate V) crystallines in the glassy host. The structure of the obtained glasses were investigated by using Mid-infrared, Raman, and 31P MAS NMR spectroscopy. Herein in this work, the results suggested that the addition of BaF2 depolymerized network of glasses, effected in the conversion of Te(O,F)4 into Te(O,F)3, Te(O,F)3+1 units, as well as P2 into P1 and P0 units. © 2020 Elsevier B.V.
