Abstract
This paper introduces a case study of original electronic music production using ambisonicsand describes the spatial remix of a stereo composition. The main goal was to explore thepotential of all dimensions and extended space. Remarks on the mixing process, compositionfor 3D systems, the creative factor, and aesthetics are followed by listening tests. The subjectiveevaluation involved a panel of experts and included stereo and ambisonic playback, as well asbinaural rendering. The authors describe the capabilities and challenges of electronic musicproduction using ambisonics. These conclusions, along with the outcomes of the performedexperiment, show the potential of 3D audio as a successful medium for electronic musicproduction.
