Abstract

The review concerns the book Mapping Israel, Mapping Palestine. How Occupied Land-scapes Shape Scientific Knowledge written by the Dutch researcher Jess Bier. The author locates her activity as a part of science and technology studies (STS). This work is an extensive analysis of cartographic practices made during Israeli-Palestinian conflicts. Bier combines the STS approach (in particular the actor-network theory) with critical ap-proaches (i.e. critical geography and postcolonial studies).
