Abstract

Oil prices have a decisive impact on the World’s economy. The cost of exploration and drilling of new oil fields is extremely high due to the fact that drilling works are more frequently performed in very difficult deposit conditions. On the other hand, a considerable number of already discovered and exploited fields entered a low production stage. This can be frequently helped with appropriate workover jobs in the well. For doing so, specialist workover fluids are injected to the wells. Most commonly these are inorganic salt solutions with proper additives, e.g. loading materials, polymers, blockers and biocides. Authors presented the principles of making workover fluids based on inorganic salts and newest additives, nanomaterials including. For this purpose, several recipes of reconstitution fluids have been prepared and tested. The paper is closed with the results of analyses of physical and rheological parameters of fluids and their impact on the absolute permeability of cores collected from reservoir rocks. © 2019, International Multidisciplinary Scientific Geoconference.
