Abstract
In this paper structural and luminescence properties of modified barium-gallo-germanate glasses doped with Dy 3+ and Eu 3+ ions are investigated. Barium ions in the glass structure were gradually replaced with antimony ions. Luminescence properties were determined on the basis of emission spectra of Eu 3+ and Dy 3+ ions which were used as a dopant in prepared glass series. MIR spectra of studied glass series present the glass structure tendency to polymerization through the observed shift of the main band assigned to Ge-O-Ge and Ge-O - (NBO - non-bridging oxygen) bonds vibrations. Moreover, emission spectra of Eu 3+ and Dy 3+ ions present the increasing tendency to the ordering of Eu 3+ and Dy 3+ local environment through the analysis of changes of ED/MD (electric dipole to magnetic dipole transitions) and Y/B (yellow to blue) ratio. © 2018 IEEE.
