Abstract
A theoretical study of a single-electron transport has been performed for a vertical gated quantum dot in external electric and magnetic fields. We have solved the Poisson-Schrodinger problem for the entire nanodevice and determined the conditions for the single-electron tunneling. The magnetic-field induced transformations of a few-electron ground state and shapes of the transport windows have been found in a good agreement with experiment.
