Abstract
DSM stored in a grid structure is mainly used in analysing and modelling various environmental components in the scale of city or region. The paper proposes a method of creating of multicomponent DSM, which contains separate grids representing ground surface, buildings and high vegetation. The main advantage of the multicomponent DSM is the ability to conduct spatial analysis with greater thematic detail compared to DSM being a single grid. It was shown by the three examples of spatial analysis: Wind Effect, Sky View Factor and building density factor. © 2018 IEEE.
