Abstract
Water pollution due to the use of pesticides in agriculture is a priority issue that is currently of a global concern. According to The European Union (EU) Regulation (EU, 2015) there is a necessity for Union-wide monitoring of substances from the first Watch List in the field of water policy. This list includes among other 8 pesticides: 5 neonicotinoids (acetamiprid, clothianidin, imidacloprid, thiacloprid and thiamethoxam), methiocarb, oxadiazon and tri-allate. For the purpose of monitoring the pesticides in Polish groundwater, validation of LC-MS/MS method, which is a recommended method by the Regulation, was performed. In this study, partial results of validation are presented, focusing in particular on accuracy. The calculated values of recovery varied from 89.55% to 116.25% in standard solution and 79.1% to 91.0% in spiked samples.
