Abstract
In this paper we examine the very specific topic of place of mankind and modern science in the Universe. We discuss validity of the Copernican cosmological principle in the light of our present knowledge of the matter-energy in the space-time continuum, quantum cosmology, nucleosynthesis and of the evolution of the Universe, the Earth and its biosphere together with a man. We also briefly describe the an evolution of opinions and hypotheses on the existence of extraterrestrial forms of life and civilizations. Considering the lack of success in the search for "cosmic artefacts", and using the anthropic cosmological principle and coincidences of large numbers in cosmology and microphysics we suggest that, in the whole Universe, the life and intelligence are presented on the Earth only, we are this an exception or a "degeneration" as a form of matter and environment. The hypotheses of metaengineering of space environment as well as of the "imperfect God" are discussed in this framework, because this teleology has no connection with the theology. We also shaw that an accepting of the view that the Earth is an unique cradle of life and intelligence in the whole Universe leads to denial of the validity of the perfect cosmological principle and to discrimination of our planet as Gaia.
Streszczenie
Praca zawiera rozważania dotyczące bardzo specyficznego podejścia do miejsca człowieka i współczesnej nauki we Wszechświecie. Dyskutowane są problemy prawomocności kopernikańskiej zasady kosmologicznej w świetle obecnej wiedzy o materii-energii w continuum czasoprzestrzennym, kosmologii kwantowej, nukleosyntezy, i ewolucji Wszechświata, Ziemi i jej biosfery wraz z człowiekiem. Praca przedstawia również ewolucję poglądów i hipotez na temat istnienia pozaziemskich form życia oraz cywilizacji. Biorąc pod uwagę brak sukcesu w poszukiwaniu "artefaktów kosmicznych", jak również antropiczną zasadę kosmologiczną oraz koincydencje dużych liczb kosmologii i mikrofizyki, sugeruje się niekiedy, że w całym Wszechświecie życie oraz inteligencja występuje tylko na Ziemi, tak iż jesteśmy albo wyjątkiem, albo "zwyrodnieniem" jako forma materii i środowiska. W tym przypadku przedyskutowano hipotezę tzw. metainżynierii środowiska kosmicznego, jak również "ułomnego Boga", ponieważ taka teleologia nie ma nic wspólnego z teologią. Pokazano ponadto, że przyjęcie poglądu, iż Ziemia jest wyjątkową kolebką życia i Rozumu w całym Wszechświecie prowadzi do podważenia prawomocności doskonałej zasady kosmologicznej i wyróżnienia naszej planety jako Gai.
