Abstract
A concept of series-fed antenna lattice featuring dual-circular polarization with integrated feeding network has been presented. The presented antenna array consist of radiating elements arranged in 5 rows and 5 columns and connected in series along X and Y axes. Each row and column of the antenna array has been fed with the use of recently developed aperture coupled microstrip patches acting as out-of-phase power dividers. Moreover, it has been shown that in such an antenna lattice a compact feeding network consists of four 3-dB/90 degrees directional couplers can be integrated at the center of the lattice when the center radiating element is removed. The presented concept has been verified by the design and measurements of the integrated antenna lattice operating at the center frequency 5.28 GHz.
